After her school years, Wendy showed extraordinary leadership qualities. By the age of twenty-two, Wendy ran the offices of Sabena Belgian World Airlines first in East London and then in Durban. Thus Wendy got the opportunity to travel and to offer travel opportunities to her mother and once married to her husband. At twenty-three Wendy was in charge of the Public Relations department for the Edward Hotel. That five star 'Old Grand Dame' of Hotels located on the Durban golden mile beachfront is where Wendy met her husband on November 22, 1965. The love story that ensued was designed to be fruitful and to last into eternity.
